Cancellation Notice 2020

TRADE UNION ACTS, 1871-1990
Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Registrar of Friendly Societies to proceed on the 27th day of March 2020 pursuant to Section 8 of the Trade Union Act 1876, to cancel the registry of the following trade unions, unless cause be shown to the contrary in the meantime.
The ground for such proposed cancelling is that the trade unions have wilfully and after notice from the Registrar, violated the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and in particular section 16 of the Trade Union Act, 1871, in that the trade unions have failed to transmit annual returns to the Registrar.

Please note: The RFS is in the process of cancelling the registration of a number of Trade Unions due to their failure to file annual returns. Unless all returns are submitted together with audited accounts, in order and in accordance with the Trade Union Acts 1871-1990 the unions will be cancelled on 27th March 2020.
